Look beyond the product. Understand the system.
IN(C) TALK exists to make the business behind everyday life easier to understand. We follow the money, the incentives, the ownership and the trade-offs, then turn what we learn into stories worth watching and ideas worth questioning.
Why we exist
The modern world is full of systems that feel simple from the outside. Open an app. Stream a song. Book a ride. Subscribe to a service. What you see is an experience; what shapes it is a network of costs, contracts, capital, technology, human labor and incentives.
We started with a question: What changes when more people can see how those systems actually work? Our answer is to create a bridge between complicated business mechanics and everyday understanding, without requiring an MBA, a finance background or an insider’s vocabulary.
We believe economic literacy is more than knowing a price. It is understanding who creates value, who captures it, who carries the risk, and who gets to make the rules.
The hidden architecture of the familiar.
Technology & AI
The economics of automation, infrastructure, platforms, data, labor and the people paying the bill.
Music & creative industries
Royalties, ownership, contracts, distribution, branding and the actual business of making culture.
Platforms & everyday commerce
Marketplaces, subscriptions, delivery, incentives and where the money travels.
Ownership & opportunity
The decisions, structures and trade-offs that determine independence, leverage and long-term value.
Our subject is not a single industry. It is the logic underneath industries, and the ways those systems intersect.
Understand before you judge. Question before you repeat.
Build the bridge.
Translate complex economics into language people can use, while keeping the important nuance intact.
Be the guide.
Make curiosity useful. Give audiences frameworks for asking better questions, not merely conclusions to memorize.
Inspire the others.
Help creators, builders and everyday decision-makers recognize both opportunities and the costs of pursuing them.
Tell the stories.
Connect numbers to people, history and choices. The strongest explanation reveals consequences as well as mechanics.
Neither a hype machine nor a lecture hall.
We do not treat being complicated as proof of being smart. We do not assume every company is a villain, every innovation is a revolution, or every headline tells the whole story. We examine competing incentives and distinguish what the evidence shows from what remains uncertain.
Our work combines narrative video, deeper articles, transparent research practices and simplified financial illustrations. An example model is an explanation, not a claim that every deal or business works that way.
AI can help with research and production, but it does not get the final editorial vote. Claims need scrutiny, source quality matters, material limitations must be acknowledged, and publication remains subject to human review. Sponsorships and business relationships do not confer authority over our research conclusions.
We aim for independent thinking, not the performance of certainty. Corrections and well-supported challenges are part of the work.
One investigation. Multiple ways in.
Our main IN(C) TALK channel explores the complete story. Small IN(C) TALK offers concise explanations and shorter entry points. Articles and source-aware reference material allow curious viewers to dig deeper.
Our invitation
Stay curious about the things you use, the systems you participate in and the stories you are told. Ask who benefits, what it costs, what gets left out, and what ownership really means.
Because understanding the business model does not tell you what to think. It gives you a better foundation for deciding.
Everything has a business model. Here's our story.
